The Law School is one of a number of outstanding, highly-competitive,
nationally-recognized graduate professional schools and programs at the City
University of New York, the third-largest institution of public higher learning
in the country. These include Business, Social Work, Public Health, Public
Affairs and Administration, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, and more.
All build upon the mission of the City University in training their graduates
for excellence in an urban environment.
CUNY Law students with special interests can take courses at other CUNY
units, and students from elsewhere in the University are also occasionally
placed at the Law School, giving them and law students the chance to interact.
In an exciting new development, graduate students in the School of Social Work
now work, under supervision, with law students in the Battered Women's and
Immigrant and Refugee Rights Clinics, providing more holistic service to
clients, and creating opportunities for practitioners of two separate, but
related, disciplines to collaborate in client service.
