A $10 million endowment will honor Ted Sorensen's legacy in perpetuity, and include private contributions from those who knew and loved him, those whose work he inspired, and others who share his commitments to democracy, freedom, and human rights. Your gift will help realize the Sorensen Center's mission. We offer several donation methods that make it easy to give:
Donations by Mail
Please send your check, made out to "CUNY School of Law Foundation," to:
Office of Institutional Advancement
2 Court Square
Long Island City, NY 11101-4356
In the memo section of the check, be sure to specify that your gift is intended to support the Sorensen Center.
Please be sure to include your name and contact information in your mailing so that your gift may be credited correctly and acknowledged. Please indicate "Sorensen Center" as your gift designation. Personal information maintained in the Foundation's records is only used for CUNY Law-related business.
Securities and Bequests
A gift of appreciated securities will not only benefit the Law School, but may result in significant tax benefits to you as well. You may also choose to make a gift to the Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice through your will or living trust. If so, you will become a member of our Legacy Society, a group of extraordinary graduates and friends who have made the Law School a beneficiary of their estates. Should you decide to remember CUNY Law School this way, please let us know, so that we may recognize your generosity. To discuss these or other planned giving opportunities, please contact Glenn Kaufhold at 718-340-4530.
Many corporations have matching gift programs that will match employee gifts. Ask your human resources department about programs your company may offer for matching your charitable donations.
You should designate that the gift is intended for Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice.
Thank you for your support!
