| Financial Aid Deadlines

All paperwork for the 2008-2009 year is due in the Office of Financial Aid by
May 1, 2008. You must make copies of all forms and documentation for yourself. Copies will help to resolve information discrepancies and provide a template for the next year. Documents submitted to the Office of Financial Aid become the property of CUNY School of Law. No forms will be returned, and all forms will be destroyed should you decline to attend.
Entering Law Students
- File the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after Jan. 1, 2008.
- Submit required documents (see
Required Financial Aid Documents).
- Submit copy of Social Security Card.
- Submit copy of Permanent Resident Card for all resident aliens.
- Submit copy of 2007 Federal Income Tax Return and W-2 forms for you and your spouse. If you will not file a 2007 federal income tax return, you will need to submit a non-filer affidavit.
- Complete Entrance Counseling (
http://www.dl.ed.gov).
- Complete Master Promissory Note (
http://www.dlenote.ed.gov) if you plan to apply for a Direct Loan (Subsidized/Unsubsidized/GradPLUS).
- Apply for a GradPLUS or private educational loan.

Continuing Students
- File the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
