Assistant Professor Carmen Huertas-Noble is the Director of the Community & Economic Development Clinic. She earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she was a Stein Scholar in Public Interest Law and Ethics and served on the staff of the Environmental Law Journal. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Marymount College.

Prior to joining the faculty, she was an Adjunct Professor at Fordham and supervised students in its CED Clinic. She also served as a senior staff attorney in the Community Development Project of the Urban Justice Center. As part of CDP, she worked with community residents in forming non-profits to provide such services as after-school programs and childcare. She also worked with established non-profits to create alternative institutions such as worker-owned cooperatives.

Professor Huertas-Noble has presented at the AALS Conference on Clinical Legal Education and at Emory Law School's Conference on "Teaching Drafting and Transactional Skills: The Basics and Beyond."
