Raquel J. Gabriel, Lawyer/Librarian (International Law) and
Associate Professor, teaches legal research. She received a B.A. from American University, a J.D. from Howard
University School of Law, and an M.L.S. From Rutgers University.
She has worked in diverse library settings, including academic, private, and
public libraries in the Washington,
D.C. and New York City metropolitan areas. She is a
member of the Law Library Association of Greater New York (LLAGNY) and of the
American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) where she is currently a member of
the Association’s Diversity Committee. Her most recent articles both came out
in 2007: “Minority Groups and Intimate Partner Violence: A Selected Annotated
Bibliography,” 19 St. Thomas L. Rev. 451 (2007) and “Intimate Partner Violence in the GLBT
Communities: A Selected Annotated Bibliography,”43 Cal. Western L. Rev. 417 (2007). Her
current research includes exploring the topics of multicultural/multilingual
teaching in the law school setting.
