Liliana C. Yanez, Instructor, is an immigration specialist who works with the CUNY Law School Immigrant Initiatives program supervising third-year law students in the Immigration and Refugee Rights Clinic. She runs a private practice emphasizing immigration law and speaks frequently at local churches in New York and New Jersey on immigration law and legal options for immigrants. She graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Latin and Ancient Greek, and received a J.D. from New York Law School. Before starting her own practice, she was a researcher at the Universitat des Saarlandes in Saarbrucken, Germany. She has worked in several private firms offering assistance to immigrants and at the Building Service 32BJ Legal Services Fund.
