Check Your Financial Aid Application and Award Status

We advise all students to visit the CUNY Portal to check your financial aid application, processed loans and award status. Please contact us with any questions about your status - or change of status - at 718-340-4284.

Step 1: Safeguard your PIN

Keep your PIN number safe, and change your PIN from time to time.

Step 2: Use CUNY's EFAP(Electronic Financial Aid Processing System) to check Your FAFSA and TAP Application Status and Aid Awards

Go to the CUNY Portal. Click the Log-inbutton in the menu on the left side of the screen. If you already have a CUNY portal account, enter your userid and password. Otherwise, select the option to register for an account. Log-in to the portal and select "CUNY's Online Center for Admissions and Financial Aid" on "My Page." Select "Financial Aid" from the menu on the left. Start exploring with "Application Status."

EFAP is an easy way to check CUNY's information about your applications, edits and problems. Your tentative awards may be posted here, but you will notbe able to see the complete evaluation of your eligibility for those awards based on your registration or other eligibility criteria. Also, private loan information is not posted on this system. You may contact the Office of Financial Aid at 718-340-4284 for this information.

Step 3: Check FAFSA Application Status

Is the Federal Processorwaiting for something from you? Are there federal edits you need to respond to? Use your federal financial aid PIN to check your status at FAFSA Follow-Up. NOTE: This WILL NOT show your awards, or tell you whether you are registered at CUNY Law in an eligible way to receive any Federal aid that you have been awarded.
