Financial Aid & Scholarships
All paperwork for the 2013-2014 year is due in the Office of Financial Aid by May 1, 2013.
You must make copies of all forms and documentation for yourself. Copies will help to resolve information discrepancies and provide a template for the next year. Documents submitted to the Office of Financial Aid become the property of CUNY School of Law. No forms will be returned, and all forms will be destroyed should you decline to attend.
Note: First-time borrowers must follow entering students list.
First Year Law and Transfer Students
- File the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after Jan. 1, 2013
- Submit required documents
- Submit copy of Social Security Card
- Submit copy of Permanent Resident Card for all resident aliens.
- Submit copy of 2012 Federal Income Tax Return and W-2 forms for you and your spouse. If you will not file a 2012 federal income tax return, you will need to submit a non-filer affidavit.
- Complete Entrance Counseling
- Complete Master Promissory Note if you plan to apply for a Direct Loan (Subsidized/ Unsubsidized/ GradPLUS)
- Apply for a GradPLUS or private educational loan
Continuing Students
- File the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Submit required documents
- Submit copy of 2012 Federal Income Tax Return and W-2 forms for you and your spouse. If you will not file a 2012 federal income tax return, you will need to submit a non-filer affidavit.
