Current Issue: Spring 2012
In this issue of the magazine, we feature several alumni who are part of the Incubator for Justice. The incubator helps CUNY Law graduates launch their own practices serving low-income communities that lack access to legal representation.
Also featured is the Economic Justice Project, which for the past 15 years has been representing CUNY undergraduates who are facing threats to receiving public assistance benefits and higher education.
Professor Rebecca Bratspies discusses CUNY Law's new Center for Urban Environmental Reform, and Amna Akbar and Diala Shamas discuss the work of the Creating Law Enforcement Accountability and Responsibility (CLEAR) Project, part of the Immigrant and Refugee Rights Clinic.
Three longtime staff members -- Seth Goldstein, Verleatha Hill, and Debbie Rothenberg -- reflect on their 30 years at CUNY Law, and we feature John Whitlow, new clinical law professor in the Community and Economic Development Clinic, and Sarah Lamdan, new associate law library professor.
