Legal Research Course

A brief description of the Legal Research course is contained on the required first year courses page of the law school's Web site.
The Legal Research teachers are developing their own course Web sites.  You will receive access instructions from your individual teachers in class.
Here is the reading assignment to be completed before the first class. Please note that there are seminar specific requirements.
Seminars A – D:
Required reading:  PLR 3 – 25; 149 – 163.
Suggested CALI tutorials (there are two): Anatomy of a Case & Where Does Law Come From
 
Seminars E – G:

Required reading:  PLR 3 – 25; 149 – 163.
Required CALI tutorials (there are two): Anatomy of a Case & Where Does Law Come From.  Please note that for seminars E,F, & G, the CALI lessons are required.  You must complete them with a score of 50% or more correct (you can attempt them as many times as necessary to get a score of over 50%).  You must also complete them within one week after the class for which they are assigned.  You are responsible for printing out a copy of your score.  See Professor Valentine if you have any questions.
