Periodically, we hold workshops on specific topics related to legal writing. These are free and open to all students, and will be announced on this web site as well as on flyers posted around the school. Workshops feature hands-on practice in the type of writing being discussed, as well as plenty of time for questions. Some of our upcoming and recent workshop topics include: cover-letter writing, persuasive advocacy writing, sentence structure and grammatical issues for both native and non-native speakers of English, professional writing samples, and final exam preparation.
Workshops generally run for an hour to an hour and a half. We make every effort to schedule them at times when most students are free. Faculty members also may contact us about tailoring a workshop to a particular assignment.
