Psychological Counseling Services

The Psychological Counseling Services offered by CUNY School of Law includes short-term, individual, couples, families and group counseling, consultation and referral services. These services are free of charge to enrolled students. The counseling provides a safe forum for discussing identified problems, as well as more general issues of effectiveness in work and personal life.

All student counseling records are maintained in strict confidence in accordance with applicable ethical principles, codes of professional practice, and state and federal law.

Attending Law School is an exciting but sometimes stressful process. Students have consulted the Law School Counselor for problems ranging from general depression, general anxiety, relationship issues, cognitive issues, difficulties with public speaking, post traumatic stress issues and other emotional obstacles which can interfere with academic performance. If you experience any of the above, know there are solutions to these problems.
