Important Student Health Insurance Update !

Please be advised that CUNY's student health insurance program with United Healthcare will not be offered in the 2014-15 academic year.

Students currently enrolled in the United Healthcare plan can maintain their insurance with United Healthcare through August of 2014.

Please note, the discontinuation of the student health insurance plan is considered a qualifying event that will allow students who are currently enrolled in the plan to purchase insurance through the NY State of Health insurance exchange within 60 days of losing coverage. To avoid a lapse in coverage, please visit the NY State of Health website or call 1-855-355-5777. You must enroll by August 14th for coverage to begin September 1st, 2014.

The next open enrollment period for the NY State of Health will be November 15, 2014-February 15, 2015. Eligible students may sign up for Medicaid and Child Health Plus through the Exchange at any time.To view health insurance options available on the Exchange, visit the NY State of Health Official Health Plan Marketplace website or call 1-855-355-5777.
