CUER’s award-winning resources to help teach intersectional environmental justice to youth are available for use and download. Created in collaboration with artist Charlie LaGreca, along with scores of New York City students, these comic and coloring books help bring the issues to life.

Mayah’s Lot

CUER is proud to announce the release of Mayah’s Lot, our first environmental justice comic book. Community groups and schools interested in using Mayah’s Lot for educational purposes should contact CUER directly. In making this comic book, we had the good fortune to partner with artist Charlie Lagreca and a great group of middle-school students at PS122Q in Astoria, Queens.

Troop’s Run

Troop’s Run is the third volume of the Environmental Justice Chronicles. Forestville is once again under threat—this time from a fossil fuel pipeline that might jeopardize all the environmental progress our heroes have achieved so far.. To save their community, Mayah, Bina, and Troop venture into electoral politics. Running on a climate justice platform, Troop faces off against a much better funded opponent, C.C. DeNeier. As Troop’s past comes back to haunt him, the B-Squad has his back. Their successful coalition building helps voters connects the dots between sustainability, equity, and a just transition. On election day, Forestville voters decisively reject the invitation to “be a DeNeier” and embrace a new path forward, one that leads to climate justice.
