SUMMARY:Trademark Basics in the Solidarity Economy (CLE)
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]This Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program will review the basics of trademarks for organizations in the solidarity economy\, as it applies to federal\, New York State\, and New York City law. The program will address trademark as a concept\, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)\, navigating the USPTO website\, issue spotting and analyzing when certain protections may be viable and discussing scenarios where certain intellectual property protections intersect with the needs of folks in the solidarity economy. The program brings a critical view of trademark law in order to gain insight into how it may or may not serve our communities and the solidarity economy. Attendees will gain practical guidance for navigating these areas of intellectual property law and effectively advocating for their clients. \nPresenters:\nRodrigo Ricxu L.
