10th Anniversary of Floyd v. City of NY “Stop-and-Frisk” Case Panel Discussion
January 30th, 2024, the W. Haywood Burns Chair Vince Warren, along with the Center for Diversity in the Legal Profession and the Center for Constitutional Rights, hosted a panel discussion and dinner to mark the 10th Anniversary of Floyd v. City of New York, the “Stop-And-Frisk-Case.” The panelists included CUNY Law Adjunct Professor Jonathan Moore, who was co-lead trial counsel in the case, Judge Shira A. Scheindlin, who presided over the case, Joo-Hyun Kang, founding Executive Director of Communities United for Police Reform, and Kadiatou Diallo and Djbril Toure, both of whom had personal connections to the case. They discussed what Floyd’s legacy means today.
