Rebecca Bratspies publishes a chapter in Routledge Handbook of International Environmental Law  entitled Global Plastic Pollution: Curbing Single-Use Plastic Production with Anastasia Telesetsky. They examine the global crisis of single-use plastic pollution, review legal efforts to curb land-based pollution, and conclude that existing international and regional efforts are inadequate to address the scale and complexity of the problem. The chapter suggests that an alliance of Global South leaders might be the necessary catalyst for a global response.
