Public interest lawyers know theory cannot be separated from practice, knowledge of doctrine must connect to practical skill, and understanding professional responsibility is inseparable from professional experience.

Lawyering Program

In addition to rigorous coursework in a variety of traditional areas, our curriculum offers a lawyering program that teaches the skills recognized by the American Bar Association as necessary for competent practice.

For over a decade, our clinical programs have been recognized as the best in legal education.

Our faculty members have been honored for their leadership and contributions to the field of clinical legal education. In addition to publishing influential groundbreaking work, they are regular planners and presenters at national conferences.
