The Mississippi Project of the CUNY School of Law is now accepting applications for the Winter 2022 Delegation.
Since1994, the CUNY School of Law works with the Mississippi Workers’ Center for Human Rights, a not-for-profit organization that provides legal representation and support services to low-wage, non-union workers – most of these workers are Black women and men who live and work in Washington County, along the Mississippi Delta.
📌 The Mississippi Project is a clinical lawyering program that trains law students to become legal advocates in the service of racial and economic justice. Every year, the law school sponsors a team of ten law students who work on-site at the Workers’ Center during the winter term, between academic semesters. Under the supervision of experienced attorneys, the law students develop lawyering skills needed to serve people against whom discrimination is routine, structural and profoundly destructive. For this work, you can earn up to three academic credits.
