New York’s prisons are a time bomb of fear, isolation and despair (Commentary)

Steve Zeidman writes in Syracuse.com: “The virus is raging through the prisons. Recently, 4,800 people tested positive while just two months ago the number was 1,700. With coronavirus variants steadily making their way into the U.S., it is inevitable that these bleak numbers will only get worse unless decisive action is immediately taken.”
