CUNY Law is proud to be included on the list of U.S. colleges and universities that produced the most 2021-2022 Fulbright U.S. Scholars, thanks to the featured work of Professors Lisa Davis ’08, Co-Director of the Human Rights & Gender Justice Clinic, and Julia Hernandez ’12. CUNY is the highest Fulbright Scholar-producing Law School on this year’s list. You can see the full list of top-producing institutions in The Chronicle for Higher Education.

Professor Lisa Davis ’08 receives the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Award to the Netherlands. Lisa Davis will lecture at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden School of Law in the Netherlands, as part of a project to teach a fall course on gender and conflict.

Professor Julia Hernandez ’12 receives the Fulbright Canada Research Chair in Human Rights and Social Justice at the University of Ottawa. As a Fulbright Scholar, Julia will work with the Human Rights Research and Education Centre to study the 2016 landmark Canadian Human Rights Tribunal ruling that Canada discriminated against First Nations children and their families by under-funding children’s services.
