We know that you are hearing from family, friends, and fellow students that they have some or all of the symptoms of Covid-19.
First, we again urge you to monitor yourself for symptoms. The information here https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/index.html is very helpful and contains access to a guided symptom checker. Additionally, the CUNY Coronavirus page (here) provides helpful information.
Second, we ask that any of you who are feeling ill and experiencing these symptoms to contact a medical provider or call 311.
Third, contact us so that we can assess whether there is a risk to others in the community and point you in the direction of additional help.
The Governor Today Issued A New Executive Order That Means That Starting Monday We Can No Longer Be Open For Students Except To Visit Our Food Pantry.
If you need to pick up things and you are well, you need to pick them up between now and Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. When you come, you will be asked to sign in. If this creates special problems for you, if you let us know now, we can work with you. Do not expect that we can let you in the building again until the Governor lifts the Executive Order except to visit the food pantry.
Our staff working in the building is being cut to the very bare minimum. But, we are all here for you remotely. Please let us know what you need, especially those of you who were counting on being in the building to study. We can’t promise to solve the problem, but we do promise to try.
We are planning for an opportunity to meet with you remotely to share information and hear concerns mid-week. Stay tuned for more information.
In the meantime, we wish you all the peace you can find over spring break.
