Lawyering in Family Policing Investigations

September 13, 2023 @ 6:15 PM - 7:45 PM EDT

Every year New York City officials investigate 56,000 families for child maltreatment. The cast majority of those investigated do not have a lawyer. As families organize to resist these investigations, how can lawyers support them? This event is a panel discussion in which lawyers representing parents in family policing investigations will share their experiences in this emerging area of practice in conversation with experienced criminal defense lawyers.
