Professionalism in the Legal Profession

August 11 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT

In this session, you’ll begin your journey of developing your professional identity in the law, which begins at orientation and continues throughout law school, clinic, and your legal career. We’ll explore what it means to enter the legal profession and how the legal field compares to other professions, highlighting key similarities and differences. We’ll also examine how these differences shape legal education, professional conduct, and ethical standards, including how we interact with clients, judges, adversaries, and law school staff and faculty. This session is the first in a series on Professionalism in the Legal Profession during your first year.
