Alexandra R. Coll (“Ally”) (she/her) is an Associate Professor of Law. She teaches courses about the modern administrative state, the federal courts system, and civil liability for personal and institutional wrongdoing. She is a nationally recognized expert, thought leader, writer, and public speaker on gender equality in the workplace. Her writing has been published in the Washington Post, Fortune, PBS NewsHour, Law360, Roll Call, Bloomberg Law, the Hill, and Jezebel. Her academic scholarship focuses on how the Constitution’s federal power structures affect the advancement of civil and equal rights in the United States. Before joining CUNY Law, Professor Coll spent time as a non-profit leader, litigator, and policymaker in Washington D.C., where she worked as an aide in both the U.S. House and Senate. Read full bio
