Christian M. De Vos is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the CUNY School of Law. He previously taught in CUNY’s Human Rights and Gender Justice Clinic, lecturing and supervising student projects. Prior to joining CUNY’s faculty, Christian was the Research and Investigations Director at Physicians for Human Rights and a senior advocacy officer with the Open Society Justice Initiative, where he worked across the Open Society Foundations’ network to advance a broad range of human rights issues, principally through strategic litigation, research, and legal advocacy. A member of the New York Bar, Christian received his JD from the American University Washington College of Law and his PhD from Leiden University. He also holds an MSc in international relations from the London School of Economics and a BA from Wesleyan University.  Read full bio.
