The proven fighters for workplace justice join the PBF’s largest cohort of law students from across the nation

He entered the evening program with over a decade of experience in law and business. Now, his leadership as a Partner at S. R. Labby LLP helps drive innovative work as well as pro bono advocacy for disability awareness and clients with aphasia.

Kat Gafycz ’22 went to Texas to present her proposal that could transform climate justice: affirmative citizen suit provisions granting standing to youth plaintiffs enabling them to bring suit against an agency’s act or failure to act. What she left with affirmed her faith in herself and the work ahead.

The Foundation Board welcomed three new members during the past year, Muhammad U. Faridi ‘07, current student Yadira K. Hernández Pérez, and Joey Lipton, as part of its efforts to bring on the next generation of leaders who add strength and diversity to its ranks.

Uruj Sheikh ’22 and KB White ’22 designed two-year projects with their sponsor organizations focused on building sustainable solutions in the communities they serve as part of the prestigious post-grad fellowship.

Professor Julia Hernandez ’12 receives the Fulbright Canada Research Chair in Human Rights and Social Justice at the University of Ottawa, and Professor Lisa Davis ’08 receives the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Award to the Netherlands.
