The Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program (SCSJIP) is designed to cultivate and develop future leaders by placing law school students from underserved communities and diverse backgrounds in judicial internships in state and federal courts in the NYC area.

Anelle Morales-Rojas ’22 is working with Hon. Connie Gonzalez, Queens Family Court this summer where she will be conducting legal research and writing bench memos.

Anelle’s interest in reproductive justice was a driving factor in her choice to go to law school. She is beyond grateful for this opportunity to get a first hand look at issues affecting New York City families.

Through this experience, she hopes to become a better advocate and enhance her law school experience with this heightened understanding.
