Fall 2026 Deadlines

  • August 17–21 (Monday–Friday) – “First Week for First Years” (Mandatory 1L Pre-Law Program/Admin Week; tuition due)
  • August 19 (Wednesday) – Last day for CUNY students to apply for ePermit courses at the Law School
  • August 21 (Friday) – Last day to enroll from the waitlist for closed courses
  • August 25 (Tuesday) – Last day to add/drop courses without fees
  • August 26 (Wednesday) – First day of classes
  • September 1 (Tuesday) – Last day to add a class with applicable fees
  • September 7 (Monday) – School closed
  • September 8 (Tuesday) – Legislative Monday
  • September 15 (Tuesday) – Last day to drop a class with applicable fees and without it appearing on the transcript
  • September 21 (Monday) – No classes scheduled

  • January 7, 2027 (Thursday) – Deadline to select CR/NCL. Students in their final semester who need the credits to graduate must submit the form to Academic Affairs for approval.

Spring 2027 Deadlines

  • January 12 (Tuesday) – Last day for CUNY students to apply for ePermit courses at the Law School

  • May 27 (Thursday) – Deadline for 4L PT and 3L FT graduating students to elect CR/NCL; no exceptions. Students in their final semester who need the credits to graduate must submit the form to Academic Affairs for approval.
  • June 3 (Thursday) – Deadline for 2L FT, 2L PT, and 3L PT students to elect CR/NCL. The form must be submitted to the Registration Office.

Non-classroom courses include Independent Study, Law Review, Moot Court, Teaching Assistant, and Public Interest/Public Service.
