The Student Government (SG) of CUNY Law established a working group in late February to propose amendments to SG’s constitution. The working group met in public virtual sessions before spring break and drafted proposed amendments, incorporating concerns about SG’s effectiveness, flexibility, and representation of evening students.
SG will debate and hold ratification votes for the proposed amendments (which can be reviewed by the public at https://tinyurl.com/SGCAS23). Each amendment will require a 2/3 supermajority of SG representatives present at the meeting to be incorporated into the constitution.
All Student Government representatives are urged to attend, so quorum can be achieved! This meeting is governed by the Open Meetings Law, and all CUNY Law students are encouraged to take part.
