IRAP CUNY Law stands with BLSA and the Black Lives Matter movement demanding justice for the racist killings of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Aubery, George Floyd, Tony McDade, Riah Milton, Dominique “Rem’Mie” Fells, Rayshard Brooks, and every victim of anti-Black violence.

We reject all acts of intimidation, suppression, oppression, and violence against our Black comrades born out of a system of white supremacy in the United States and globally.

We pledge that IRAP CUNY students stand as allies and in solidarity with BLSA and the Black Lives Matter movement. We pledge to continue our advocacy, strengthen our partnerships with other student groups, and to use our resources over the coming academic school year to explore programs and projects that focus on and explore the intersectionality of refugees and blackness.

We acknowledge that abuse of power and misconduct do not begin or end with our police forces but are also prevalent in our immigration systems, specifically Immigration and Customs Enforcement. We support HR 6361, Establishing a Humane Immigration Enforcement System Act, introduced in the house by Representative Mark Pocan (WI) in 2018. We demand that HR 6361 be moved to the floor for a vote.

IRAP CUNY Law is proud to stand with the movement for equality and always, BLACK LIVES MATTER!
