This Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program will examine disability justice under federal, New York State, and New York City law, exploring some of the broader protections available under state and local frameworks. The program will address fair housing, mental health law, access to transportation, prison condition advocacy, civic participation, and the ethical rules related to representing clients with disabilities. Attendees will gain practical guidance for navigating these areas of disability law and effectively advocating for their clients.

These CLE programs are approved for both experienced and newly admitted attorneys, except that newly admitted attorneys are not eligible for the Diversity, Inclusion & Elimination of Bias credit. Consistent with NY State regulations, CLE credit will be offered only to those attorneys completing the entire session; attorneys attending only part of a session are not eligible for partial credit. Attorneys arriving late are welcome to attend the program but will not be eligible for credit. Also note that for remote programs, attorneys must view the webinar; we cannot extend credit for audio-only participation.
