The Housing Rights Project and LPE Collective welcome you to come hear CUNY’s John Whitlow and Rutger’s Greg Baltz discuss their approaches to building Tenant Power in the face of a growing Housing crisis.
The Housing Rights Project and LPE Collective welcome CUNY Law’s Prof. John Whitlow and Prof. Greg Baltz from Rutgers Law school. Both are scholars in the area of Housing Justice and Tenant Power and regular contributors to the LPE Project: https://lpeproject.org/. Join us as they discuss their work in these fields, as practitioners and professors, as well as their differing approaches to building Tenant Power. One approach emulates Labor Law through the formation of Tenant Unions and rent strikes. The other approach believes we should be looking to Consumer Protection and enforceable rights as consumers of housing. https://linktr.ee/TenantPowerPanel . We look forward to seeing you there! (ALSO, there will be food so please RSVP at this link so we can order appropriately: https://bit.ly/TPPRSVP)
