CUNY Law to Lead Clinics in $5M Investment in Asylum Seeker Legal Assistance Network
The new Emerging Needs Clinic is part of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and community-based organizations citywide in the launch of $5M Asylum Seeker Legal Assistance Network. The Law School, along with CUNY Citizenship Now!, will design and oversee information sessions, screenings, and application assistance clinics to train Law School students, as well as students throughout CUNY schools, to provide direct legal support.
