Introducing the CUNY Law Alumni Connection Series
Building Bridges. Strengthening Community. Supporting Each Other.
Join us on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, for the next meeting of the CUNY Law Alumni Connection Series — a new monthly virtual gathering designed to foster meaningful relationships among graduates across all class years and career paths.
The CUNY Law Alumni Connection Series is co-facilitated by alums Angela Torregoza ’12 and Yogi Patel ’06.

Each session will be an opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, and expand your professional network whether you’re practicing law, leading in public service, or pursuing impact in another field.
This month we spotlight alum Ric Cherwin ‘87. While Ric has been a civil rights attorney, a psychotherapist, an editor at the NY Daily News, and a major charity auctioneer, his first passion is the one he was born into: a family of singers, musicians, writers, actors and artists. Come find out about Ric’s unique journey!
We’re also excited to have Dyvonia Burgos, Interim Director of the Bar Success Program, join us to say hello and speak about bar mentorship! Learn about the program and how you can support our students as they prepare for the bar exam!
“Our alumni are the heartbeat of CUNY Law’s mission. This series is about rekindling connections, creating new ones, and building a community that continues to uplift one another long after graduation.” — Interim Dean Natalie Gomez-Velez
