Four Scholars and Practitioners Join CUNY Law, Reinforcing Commitment to Social Justice and Innovative Legal Training

Director Professor Natalie M. Chin Leads the former Disability and Aging Justice Clinic’s next evolution

Recognizing three faculty members for their commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service by granting tenure from the Board of Trustees.

Leading Black male legal scholars from across the nation gather at the Law School.

His work will explore social movement lawyering and the role that lawyers, activists, journalists, and artists play in mobilizing movements that advance racial, economic, and social justice.

Professor Lisa Davis, Co-Director of the Human Rights and Gender Justice Clinic, served as Special Advisor on Gender Persecution to the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.

Adjuncts both new and returning share a wealth of experience from the front lines of social justice. You’ll find them teaching Indigenous Americans and the Law, Critical Race Theory, Abolition of Modern Day Carceral Systems, Disability & the Law, and more.

Professor Kassem, a national expert on immigration and national security issues, brings years of academic and practical experience to his post as a Senior Policy Advisor for Immigration at the White House Domestic Policy Council.

Professor & CUER Founder Rebecca Bratspies is recognized for her contributions to international law at the intersection of human rights, climate change, natural resources, and health by the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law’s Human Rights Programme.
