Join faculty, scholars, and practitioners for an engaging discussion on Critical Race Theory (CRT) and its relevance to the study and practice of law. Designed for incoming 1L students, this panel will explore how CRT helps us examine the relationship between law, race, and systemic inequality while fostering thoughtful dialogue about contemporary legal issues.
In these identity-based breakout sessions, traditional (those entering law school directly from college or graduate school) and non-traditional students (those balancing law school with full-time work, caregiving responsibilities, career transitions, or returning to school after time away) will engage in a conversation guided by a facilitator who brings personal insight to students lived experiences. Each session is intentionally curated for its specific group, and will offer space to explore what balance, connection, and belonging can look like in law school.
