Liberty, Equality, and Due Process (LEDP) provides legal and historical perspectives by examining the law's impact on racial and gender equality and sexual orientation. This course challenges students to analyze their own experiences through the lens of the law and to understand how the law may have shaped their values and perceptions--or how it might be used to shift society's values and perceptions.
Presentation with information about public safety policies and procedures, building hours, fire safety, campus visitor policy, and law enforcement.

During orientation, students will begin one of their first-semester courses, entitled Liberty, Equality, and Due Process (“LEDP”). The Academic Skills sessions will occur before and after the LEDP classes. During these sessions, Skills professors will introduce students to critical law school skills, including case reading, case briefing, note-taking, rule synthesis, and exam writing. The Academic Skills sessions will provide an opportunity to both “pre-brief” and “debrief” the LEDP classes.

CUNY Law's Career Planning Office will lead our annual Court Orientation, which allows students to see inside a real court room, meet with a Judge, and watch proceedings, introducing students to various legal systems.
